BIO

Filip Filip is a professional pianist and composer from the Czech Republic. He started playing the piano at the age of 7. Since 2012 he studied piano and composition at the Jaroslav Ježek jazz Conservatory in Prague. His composition professor was the prominent Czech jazz musician Karel Růžička.

In the years 2016 - 2020, he studied piano pedagogy at the Methodical Center at the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts in Brno. He attended classes with prof. Alena Vlasáková (classical piano), Jiří Levíček (jazz piano).

He attended various courses (Karel Velebný's Summer Jazz Workshop, Czech Jazz Workshop with Ondřej Pivec, International Master Interpretation Courses at the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts, etc.).

As a pianist, Filip has gone through a number of bands and orchestras, where he has played music of various genres (pop, rock, jazz, funky, gospel, worship, etc.).

He's the author of the arrangement for the "Hymn 2016 WYD Kraków - Czech version".
